Gotham Prep Academy

"Where gifted students become extraordinary individuals"

Gotham Prep Academy follows the characters of the Batman universe as high school students. Before they became heroes and villains, these prodigious teenagers were accepted to the prestigious Gotham Prep Academy to hone their talents and follow their passions. High school represents the formative years in one's life and for these gifted students, it is no exception.

It's the time when you begin turning into the person you were destined to become.

Gotham Prep Academy was a conceptual exercise of reimagining iconic comic book characters.

Bruce Wayne
Year: Senior
Major: Computer Science

Bruce comes from a family of privilege,
but the loss of his parents at a young age
transformed him into a quiet, brooding
individual. He's clearly gifted, athletic enough
to play football and smart enough to enroll
in all honors classes. Bruce has an affinity
for technology; he's created innovative
gadgets and gizmos, numerous apps, and
has begun building a large, multifaceted
computer mainframe at his house.

Jack Napier
Year: Senior
Major: Chemistry

School has always come easily to Jack.
He’s aced numerous aptitude tests, as well as
the entrance exam to Gotham Prep Academy
without even studying. But everything is a joke
to Jack, his constant goofing off and disregard
for authority keeps landing him in trouble.
Charismatic and brilliant yet moronic and
irresponsible, Jack has been dubbed
“The Clown Prince of Gotham Prep Academy”.

Jonathan Crane
Year: Junior
Major: Psychology

Prior to moving to Gotham City, Jonathan Crane
spent his entire life on a farm in Smallville.
Jonathan refuses to adapt his rustic attire to blend
into his new sprawling urban landscape, leaving him
as an outcast in school. His classmates call him
“Scarecrow” since his unusual look and aloof
demeanor frightens the girls away, sparking his
academic interest in human behavior..

Pamela Isley
Year: Senior
Major: Biology

As a child, Pamela enjoyed nothing more
that spending warm afternoons getting lost
in Gotham's botanical gardens. That keen
interest in nature and plant life stayed with
her while growing up and has now become
her scholarly passion. With a strong background
in chemistry as well as plant physiology and
ecology, Pamela longs to create vibrant, lush
gardens to share their beauty and blissful peace.

Waylan Jones
Year: Senior
Major: Marine Biology

It’s no surprise Waylon is completely at ease
in the pool; his mother underwent a water birth
at Gotham General Hospital. Waylon received
an academic scholarship to Gotham Prep for
swimming where his academic pursuits also involve
the water as he is majoring in marine biology.
Based on his skill in the pool and obsession with
a certain type of footwear, his teammates have
aptly nicknamed him “Croc”.

Matthew Hagan
Year: Senior
Major: Theatre

Matthew’s love of acting began at an early age,
he would perform for his family almost every day,
re-enacting scenes from his favorite television shows
and movies. Gotham Prep Academy quickly realized
Matthew’s talents, offering him a full scholarship;
he’s been the lead actor in all school productions
every year. So engrossed in his craft, Matthew
has been known to remain in character when outside
the theatre to perfect his diction, body language,
and facial expressions.

Harleen Quinzel
Year: Sophomore
Major: Psychiatry

Harleen, known to her friends as Harley, is the
total package: beautiful, athletic, and smart.
She came to Gotham Prep Academy on a
gymnastics scholarship, but her athletic prowess
is surpassed only by her academic brilliance.
Harley is pre-med with a concentration in psychiatry;
she’s fascinated by what drives a person’s behavior,
which is also why she applied to be a summer intern
at Arkham Asylum.

Ra's al Ghul
Department: History

Ra’s is Gotham Prep Academy’s most distinguished
teacher, recognized internationally for his contributions
to history, archaeology, and religion. As the head of
the history department, Ra’s teaches several classes,
with his most popular being “War, Famine, and Disease:
Re-balancing Earth’s Overpopulation.” Although his
classes are deemed difficult they’re always filled to
capacity; students are riveted by Ra’s passion for his
intriguing subject matter.

Alfred Pennyworth

Prior to coming to Gotham City, Alfred worked for the
Military Intelligence Department in the United Kingdom,
where he helped gather information and develop advanced
weaponry. When Bruce’s parents died, Alfred was named
as his guardian and trustee of the Wayne estate. Alfred has a
keen understanding of technology and aids Bruce in developing
his personal computer hardware and software.

Oswald Cobblepot
Year: Senior
Major: Creative Writing

The Cobblepots are referred to as Gotham's
"Second Family", trailing only the Waynes in
terms of wealth and notoriety. Over the years,
and through many high society functions, the
families became close, allowing Oswald and
Bruce to become friends...before turning into
rivals. Bruce is a handsome teenage millionaire
sought by the girls in his class, whereas Oswald
is brilliant but an outcast. He's much shorter than
his classmates and has a funny walk (his right leg
is shorter than this left) earning him the nickname
"Penguin". The Cobblepot name has certainly
lost some of its luster.

Bane
Year: Junior
Major: Biochemistry

The epitome of brains and brawn, Bane
(an accepted nickname) is captain of the
wrestling team at Gotham Prep Academy
and its most decorated athlete ever. Bane
possesses genius-level intellect and was
accepted to Gotham Prep Academy on a
full scholastic scholarship; he speaks multiple
languages, has a photographic memory, and
excels in science, history, and geology.
The mask he wears for wrestling is not only
meant to intimidate opponents, it's also
designed in tribute to his Caribbean heritage.

Selina Kyle
Year: Junior
Major: Criminal Justice

Selina is branded as an outcast at Gotham
Prep Academy and she likes it that way.
She comes from a wealthy family, but has a
mischievous side and has been accused of
several misdemeanors, mainly petty theft.
Academics come easy to Selina, as do athletics;
as a gymnast, her balance and flexibility are
unparalleled. A cat lover, Selina has been
known to take one of her many felines to
school with her, hidden in her handbag.

Richard Grayson
Year: Sophomore
Major: Sports Marketing

Richard is an athletic, continuously on-the-go
individual whose book smarts are surpassed
only by his street smarts. Richard grew up
as an orphan who got into his fair share of trouble,
but along the way he parlayed savant-like abilities
with his natural speed and agility into amazing
skateboarding, parkour, and other urban aerial
acrobatics skills. Only a sophomore, Richard is
aiming to perform at the Gotham City Circus and
the Metropolis Extreme Games prior to graduation.

James Gordon
Department: Principal

James is a former Gotham City police officer assigned
to finding missing or troubled children. After more than
15 years of working with adolescents, but all too often
his cases ended in homicide or unresolved, James
decided to pursue a career to assist in the hands-on
educational and social development of Gotham City's
most talented young adults. As the Principal of
Gotham Prep Academy for the past 5 years, James
has overseen the initiation of programs and courses
that have dramatically improved the school's already
impressive academic scores.
